Everything you need to understand how Flavorful Foundations™ is packaged and priced across every market segment. Actual prices are confirmed and locked. Use this page to understand what each tier includes, how to position the value, and when to escalate to leadership for a custom proposal.
Before You Discuss Pricing
Three Things to Know Before Any Pricing Conversation.
Note to Sales Team: All pricing on this page is confirmed and current as of 2026. Per-unit rates in the district section are for internal reference and RFP calculations only. Do not share per-unit rates publicly or in client-facing materials. Building license flat rates are the public-facing price point for schools. Volume discount tiers are negotiating anchors only. Do not open below the floor without leadership approval.
Sell value before you mention investment.
A district that has seen Bridge, Core, and Support text differentiation, understood the seven learning systems, and experienced a Digital Kitchen demo will hear a price differently than one that has not. Always present value first. Price lands better when it follows a clear picture of what is being purchased.
Print books are always a separate conversation.
Building licenses and digital subscriptions cover the platform and digital ecosystem only. Print books are always quoted and ordered separately. Never quote a combined digital plus print number without going through the proposal process with leadership.
Volume discounts are anchors, not starting points.
Per-student volume rates on this page are negotiating anchors. Sales rep discretion extends to 10 to 15 percent within the listed rates. Do not open below the floor without approval. Custom enterprise pricing at 50,000 plus students always requires leadership sign-off.

Funding Sources
How Districts Pay for Flavorful Foundations™.
Most districts are not writing a check from their general fund. Know the funding sources available to them and mention them early. It changes the budget conversation entirely.
Title I Funds
Available to schools with 40 percent plus students from low-income families. Can be used for curriculum, instructional materials, professional development, and technology. One of the most commonly available and flexible sources.
ESSER Funds
Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds. Many districts still have unspent ESSER III allocations with spending deadlines. Curriculum and literacy intervention investments are explicitly allowable uses. Ask about remaining balance and deadline.
Title II: Teacher Quality
Specifically for professional development and teacher quality improvement. Directly applicable to Instructional Kitchen™ PD access and any cohort experience add-on. Strong argument for the PD add-ons when Title II funds are available.
Curriculum Adoption Budget
Most districts have a dedicated curriculum adoption cycle with a set budget. Understanding when a district is in its cycle and what has been allocated is the most important funding question to ask in discovery.
Literacy-Specific Grants
State literacy grants and private foundation grants can fund curriculum adoption. If a district mentions an active grant application or recent award, ask immediately what it covers and whether FF qualifies. Escalate to leadership.
Supplier Diversity Set-Asides
Many large districts have procurement requirements or incentives for MWBE vendors. Chalk & Eraser's Black-owned and woman-owned designations are procurement advantages. Mention this to procurement contacts. It can unlock a faster path to approval.
Sales Tips: Pricing
How to Talk About Investment Without Stalling the Deal.
Lead with the consolidation story before you mention a number.
A district your size typically spends across curriculum, an LMS, PD consultants, and separate writing programs, often well over $300 per student annually when it is all added up. Flavorful Foundations replaces all of that with one integrated system. The investment conversation is really a conversation about what they are already spending and what they are getting for it.
The Intervention Pantry is your fastest path to a check.
When a principal says they are locked into their current core curriculum, the Intervention Pantry is your opening. One classroom pack at $2,800 does not require district approval. A principal can say yes today. Get the Intervention Pantry in the building, let the results do the talking, and the full ecosystem conversation follows naturally.
When a district says they do not have budget, ask about the cycle.
"No budget right now" almost always means "not in this cycle." Ask when their next budget planning period begins and whether literacy curriculum is already part of that conversation. A district that is serious will tell you where they are. Either way you know where to put your energy.
Always mention Title I and ESSER before the proposal goes out.
Before the proposal is finalized, make sure the funding source references are included. Title I and ESSER are both applicable to this investment and a lot of districts find that changes the procurement conversation significantly. This one sentence has moved deals forward that were stalled on budget.
